Today (21 January 2025), Mr. Somsak Thepsuthin, Minister of Public Health, revealed that today he had a meeting with Dr. Weerawut Imsamran, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health, and Dr. Amporn Benjapolpitak, Director-General of the Department of Health, to discuss ways to take care of the public regarding PM 2.5 dust. Therefore, he signed a memorandum to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health regarding measures to prevent and solve air pollution problems or PM 2.5 dust, including to comply with the Cabinet resolution and the Prime Minister's orders, including to make operations efficient and effective, he would like to announce the measures to solve the PM 2.5 dust problem as follows:
